PYP 3 November News

PYP 3 November News

Last Friday PYP 3 Beta had the visit from the Mexican exchange kids. The children created posters with some typical Brazilian foods, celebrations, places and words in Portuguese and presented these to them along with a welcome card and a Portuguese song. They also chose to read to them one on their favorite class books "Elephant and Piggie". The children from Mexico also told the PYP 3 children about the Mexican legend of the Popocateptl volcanoe.

Making Landforms in clay

As part of their Unit of Inquiry PYP 3 students have been experimenting with the properties of clay to see how they could go about making their final landform piece. Students were asked to consider all the different types of geological landforms and then make them in clay.
Mr Concagh then invited PYP 3 students from Jd Europa to work on their final piece in the Multi-purpose room.  Pinheiros students worked in their room.

Everyone had fun with the wonderful stories
told by Mr. Andy Wright, a storyteller
from New Zealand.
