PYP3 Latest News

This week we have worked hard on the crafts for the Bazaar.

Parents have joined us and helped us a lot with their work and time  with the children. These were moments of joy for both
parents and children for a bigger cause.
We would like to thank all the parents who donated their time, patience, and materials to make this come true.

PYP3 Sigma´s Tea Boxes.

PYP3 Beta´s Coasters.

This week we also had Parent-Teacher Conferences.
It was a great moment for us to share and highlight children's growth and achievements.

Stay tuned to see the outcomes of our partnership with
PYP4 on land forms. Children are really thrilled to work with older children and share the learning of land forms and habitats.

PYP 3 November News

PYP 3 November News

Last Friday PYP 3 Beta had the visit from the Mexican exchange kids. The children created posters with some typical Brazilian foods, celebrations, places and words in Portuguese and presented these to them along with a welcome card and a Portuguese song. They also chose to read to them one on their favorite class books "Elephant and Piggie". The children from Mexico also told the PYP 3 children about the Mexican legend of the Popocateptl volcanoe.

Making Landforms in clay

As part of their Unit of Inquiry PYP 3 students have been experimenting with the properties of clay to see how they could go about making their final landform piece. Students were asked to consider all the different types of geological landforms and then make them in clay.
Mr Concagh then invited PYP 3 students from Jd Europa to work on their final piece in the Multi-purpose room.  Pinheiros students worked in their room.

PYP3 - Unit 3

Where we are in place and time

Central idea:
All places on earth have specific features that distinguish them from one another.

In this Unit of Inquiry our main focus will be to investigate landforms, observing how different the places are according to their landform features.

Soon we will be sharing some of our investigations and findings.

This week we had

PYP 3 Beta´s Assembly about Unit 2 - How we organise ourselves.

Here are some pictures for you to enjoy:

They did a wonderful job!

Stay tuned for more news from PYP 3!!!
