PYP3 Year Level Presentation

PYP3 Year Level Presentation

We celebrated all our achievements and discoveries!

PYP3 Beta in Pinheiros

In the meantime in Jd Europa...
PYP3 Sigma and Omega

Welcome to our Year Level Presentation!

In Unit 6 we are learning about forces. Rowing a boat can show pushing and pulling!

That car went faster because the ramp is steeper!

That airplane went faster because it offered less resistance to the air!

Magic Trick revealed: There was a magnet making the other magnet move. It is magnetism!

Mountains, valleys, volcanoes, plain and plateau!

Rhythmic Gymnastics is also Art!

Parlendas and Trava-línguas

Differences and Similarities performed in dance!

 Reciclar é a solução!

Songs are organized sounds and patterns!

 Yellow Submarine

All my friends are different, but I love them all the same!!!

We would like to thank all the
people who contributed for
our learning!!!
See you in PYP4!!!

PYP 3 How the world works

PYP 3

How the world works

PYP 3 students in action to answer some of the questions!

What do you have to do for each object to work? What force do you use? What happens to the object When do you use that force? Does it change? How? Have you tried other methods/forces? What happens?

Children played with tops.

What ramps make the cars go further? Why did this one go further? What happens to the objects in this one?

Children tested car speed on the ramps.

What is making your airplane fly/not fly? Which one is flying farthest? Why? Why do you think? Have you tried other ways of shaping your airplane? Which ways did you find out work best? Why do you think?

Children tested their paper airplanes.

What happens? With which objects can you see a difference? What happens when you throw the open and the crumpled piece of paper? Which one hits the ground first? Why did one fall faster than the other one? Why was it different with these objects?

Checking our gravity and air resistance with a paper ball and a flat paper.

Next, they tested with a playdough ball.

Children made parachutes and tested them outside.

Children explored air resistance by making a balloon and a ping-pong ball "float" with a hairdryer.

Children explored air pressure by attaching a full balloon to a straw in a string and letting it go.

Children explored pushing and pulling.

Children tested magnetism with paper clips.
